About Us
Riverview Chamber Players is devoted to the intersection of music, wellness, and social justice
Meet the Founder
When I founded Riverview Chamber Players in 1993, my goal was to provide top-notch chamber music for private events. We are well-known in the event industry and have performed more than one thousand private events over the years. We continue to have an excellent track record—our clients often tell us that we exceeded their expectations in every way. They feel our musical performances add more than elegance and class; they create beautiful memories for milestone events from weddings to funerals.
Over the years we having increasingly sought to be ambassadors of healing and social justice through music. As Director, I am compelled to create a safe and warm environment that invites people to breathe and to connect with their own truths. We are able to achieve this through specially designed chamber music performances, healing concerts, and individualized therapeutic music sessions.
When asked, “what are you about?,” my answer comes swiftly and easily — compassion, connection, and contribution. I have a natural inclination to help others. My parents witnessed this in me from a very early age. When I was in high school, I remember dreaming about playing chamber music in nursing homes, homeless shelters, and prisons. I felt drawn to bringing light and beauty to the places and people most in need. It has always felt important to me to perform live music to those who would otherwise not have the opportunity to hear it. I am continually amazed by music’s power to ease and soothe people’s emotional and physical pain.
There is truly no end to the impact that healing music has on those who it serves. Whether performed in Buckingham Palace for Princess Anne, in prisons for the incarcerated, in churches for mothers of murder victims, or in hospitals for patients on ventilators, the results are similar: relaxation and a renewed sense of energy and hope. This is often accompanied by a release of physical and emotional pain, a soothing of anxiety, a connection to one’s inner world, and a lifting of one’s spirit and energy.
